Based on the epic Tang Dynasty love story between Emperor Xuanzong and Lady Yang (Yang Guifei), the show combines live theater, classical Chinese dance, orchestral music, and spectacular water and light effects to recreate one of China’s most enduring legends.

Since its debut in 2006, this immersive night show has become one of China’s most acclaimed performances—running for over 15 years with near-perfect reviews across Chinese social media. With over 300 performers, lavish Tang-style costumes, and real historical locations, it’s often described as “China’s Moulin Rouge—only more poetic.”

• Location: Huaqing Palace Scenic Area, about 40 minutes from downtown Xi’an

• Outdoor seating in front of a mountain + water stage — dress appropriately

• First Show: 7:10 PM – 8:20 PM

• Second Show: 8:35 PM – 9:45 PM

• Third Show: 10:00 PM – 11:10 AM

• Fourth Show: 23:25 PM – 12:35 AM (select peak season dates only)

⚠️ Seating Notice

Please be advised of the following when selecting your seating zone:

• 🎭 East/West B Zones: The most distant areas, offering only partial views.

• 🎭 East/West A Zones: Slightly better than B, with closer proximity but still side views.

• 🌟 Central Zone: The best location with clear, front-facing views of the stage.

• 💎 VIP C Zone: Very limited seats right next to the Central Zone. However, the price is nearly double while the value difference is modest.

  Please note: VIP A and B Zones are not open for public booking. These seats are reserved for government officials and distinguished guests, so Central Zone remains the best option for regular visitors.

💲 The price gap between zones is only about USD 5, and for most foreign visitors, we strongly recommend choosing the Central Zone for the best overall experience.

🎫 Seats are zone-based only and will be randomly assigned upon ticket exchange at the venue. Specific seats cannot be reserved in advance. In general, the earlier you exchange your tickets, the better your seats will be.
